The origin of Ban Bua Isan Sausage.
Isan Sausage or Mum is the OTOP of Ban Bua,Kasetsomboon, Chaiyaphum province. It’s a symbol of Ban Bua products that can generate revenue for Bua Ban district is a lot. Isan Sausage is a method of preserving food by using local wisdom and Ban Bua is located in the Labrador basin and surrounded by mountains. In the past, the villagers are always up to the mountains to hunt for food, but because of travel difficulties and had to sleep overnight on the mountain for a few days, they must bring only important things to the mountain such as salt, pepper, garlic and equipment to hunting. When they hunt and get a lot of animal, they have to find method to avoid meat spoilage and easier to bring back home so, they chopped pieces and mixed with salt, then packed into the gut of the animal that we called “ Isan Sausage or Mum”
